Tiny Town Records and Flightless Distribution have come together to present Mug’s 2021 debut collection of songs, ‘Mug EP’, on a limited edition coloured 12” vinyl.
Melbourne duo Mug are siblings Lily and Sam Harding. Their oblique melodic pop echoes the 80’s underground of Australia, while nodding to the world of Eurocentric art-rock.
Created at a time of estrangement within the community, Mug’s debut EP was produced remotely between Lily and Sam. Both were able to collaborate in solitude from their respective homes, sending files via dropbox back and forth in order to construct the 7 tracks.
On the 23rd of July, 2021, Mug released their first collection of songs through Tiny Town Records on a limited run of cassettes (TT006).
Now, the widely revered EP is marked with the full-stop that gives the release a sense of deserved wholeness. After almost a year since the initial release of the songs, we will be able to add the Mug EP to the Flightless Distro collection.
